How many DVDs do you own?

I think it is a waste of money if you never watch them again. I personally watch my dvds over and over and over again. I analyze films, look for things I missed the previous time...stuff like that. Besides, some people just like to have their own library...which if it pleases them, so be it.

I hate having to leave the house everytime I want to watch a movie. Also, I refuse to get cable. :tongue2:

How does all of this movie-watching not interfere with your excessive weightlifting?

I work out about an hour a day so....

Anyways, ever since I've moved to this tiny retirement community town (average citizen's age approx. 209), I have had more free time on my hands than I could ever have imagined. So until I move back to CBus in June, almost every night is movie night.

I currently have around 50 DVD's I'd guess. Personally I've decided to stop buying DVD's until it's determined who wins the HD battle: BluRay or HD-DVD. I figure why buy a movie on DVD now when I'll want to buy it again on HD in another year or two. I must have thrown out hundreds of VHS movies when DVD's came to be popular.

I just use Netflix. For the cost of one DVD a month, I get three movies at a time, and can watch as many or as few as I want. I own about 100 DVDs at this point, but I really don't see the sense in buying more, unless some absolute classic movie comes out that I want to be able to watch the moment the mood strikes me.

Hilarious...so how many? Crack a grand? If so, that's impressive. Heck, that's a space-eating collection.

Probably not that high. Might be close if I burned all of the tv shows I've downloaded to disk. I have 230+ GB of tv shows. With Blockbuster online there's hardly a need to burn anything. I love the in store exchange feature.
