I voted 4, but it could be anywhere from 3 - 6.

Auburn will hammer Wisconsin, so the sweep is already out. Penn State and Minnesota I feel have the best chances given their opponent, so I am counting those as two certain Ws. Of the remaining 4 games, OSU has a decent shot with ND, Iowa and UM have winnable games against Florida and Nebraska, respectively, while I think Northwestern will be dealt a loss in a shootout against UCLA.

So, I'm banking on PSU, Minnesota, OSU, and one of either Iowa or UM. C'mon fellas ... you guys aren't all expecting a Lloyd Carr team to win a bowl game, right? :wink2:

LLLLoyd's 5-5 in bowl games. And it's Callahan on the other side, so I like scUM's chances.

The good thing is that scUM's streak of 9 straight January Bowl games has been ended. Any time they have 1 less reason to blow their own horn - that's a good thing.

I'm very confident the B10 will win three:

Penn State over Florida State: right now, PennSt. is the best team NOT playing in the Rose Bowl. (though if we played PennSt. 10 times this year, I'd take tOSU over PennSt. at least 5 times.)
tOSU over Notre Dame (and why is this not the first game listed?): the Golden Homers have the worst defense of the top twenty five teams. They will put up some points, because they have an imaginative coach. But we have the best defense, and a pretty decent offense, And We Will Roll.
scUM vs. Nebraska: scUM should win, and win handily. - BUT - they have a way of blowing games. I only want scUM to win 3 games a year, and they are all out-of conference, but, being who they are, they tend to let me (and the rest of the B10) down. (And even if they lose, so what, they ARE scUM! )

I'm very confident the B10 will lose one:
Wisconsin gets hammered by Auburn: Auburn is the best team in the SEC. They should be ranked ahead of, amongst others, Notre Dame and Oregon.

That leaves three toss-ups.
And being a B10 fan, they should win at least two of those.
Final answer: the B10 wins 6

Besides, I always root against the three Florida Schools, and against Nebraska.

Hey to all the Buckeye fans. Nice site you guys got here. Just thought Id drop in and give my picks. Ill give the Big 10 3 wins this year. I'm agreeing with the 3 that most of you picked, but as you might expect I'm picking the Irish over OSU. So Ill say PSU, U of M, and Minn win. Really I dont care about any of these games as I am soooo excited for Jan. 2nd. I think this may very well be the best bowl game of the year. Ill drop back to chat with you guys again. GO IRISH

I think you guys are piling on Wisky a bit too much - I give them a fighting chance to win the Cap One Bowl. Remember, they have a pretty good history of winning bowl games when they are seemingly outmatched. Namely - 2002 Alamo Bowl against Colorado and 1999 Rose Bowl against UCLA to name a few. The 2002 Alamo Bowl in particular matched up a 7-6 Wisky against a 9-4 Colorado that had lost in the Big XII title game. Having said all that, I still give Wisky about a 30% chance of winning...

Also, don't forget that with a loss in the Alamo Bowl, Michigan will have two bowl losses to the Big-XII in the same calendar year (2005), while OSU already boasts two bowl wins over the Big-XII in the same calendar year (2004).
