Well,I got the shortest commute I think! It is about 185 yards from my house! It is good & bad! Good~it's close! Bad~no lame ass excuse to not make it to work or be late having clients there before you! I own my own business so at least I have no one to answer to. I would not want my business in my home, not with what I do anyhow!:ohwell:

It simply means I don't have people banging on my door & dropping off dogs to get groomed or stop in just to make an appointment! I can lock the door & leave from there at least! I have a neighbor/client who is in eyeshot of my house, called one day & wanted to bring the dog down to my house to have me trim it's face! :bonk: I told her politely "NO" and make an appointment for next week. I told her I don't keep shears or clippers at my house,I do for my own dogs, but gee I like to leave work at work whether it's 180 yards down the road or 20 miles away. My private time is mine! Really I kinda wish I was a little further away from the shop.
We are house hunting & found one about 12 minutes away! :groove:

Mine is usually 30-45 minutes, and it's due to traffic instead of distance. The people here in Delaware drive like f**kin' idiots, and it seems there is always a backup of some kind for no good reason.

It depends on what room I wake up in. From my bedroom about 30 feet. From the "doghouse" (where I end up most of the time) it is only about 20 feet so actually when I have been a "bad boy", I can get to work quicker.

Most days I need to leave for an appointment or two so it just depends on where my clients are really.
