Dub, you stud, you. Maybe you can clear away the fog, but being a USA dependent gets you access to the USA, yes? Not entirely certain why or how the five years plays into it. Seems American army/navy/air force servicemen are an easy way to get access to the USA. Then they can bring across their relatives, and get outa the Philipines. By passes the immigrations lines, that. It's also been my experience here in Cali, that the Philipinos are hard working people and do contribute when they are integrated into society.

I don't know about why it's five years but that was the offer. Lots of guys went to the Phillipines, Korea, Thailand, got their first $5 fucky sucky and headed straight to the chapel. I was about to get out anyways and already was neck deep in pussy at the time so it just wasn't for me. This was 1991 so I guess 5 grand would have seemed a bit more appealing that it does today.
