How big is the USA versus Africa? You might be surprised...

I throw my support behind any map that has a majority of Michigan covered up by Germany. It kind of looks the Germans are getting a prostate exam though.

Yeah, the land area of the U.S. is still correct, meaning they inflated the size of the continental states to put on the map? Kind of defeats the purpose of adding perspective doesn't it?

Asia is still the biggest continent on earth, not that continents aren't kind of stupid/irrelevant anyway, with Europe/Asia/Africa being connected as is North and South America.

Or Canada which is larger than the US.
Or Australia which is 3x the size of the largest country in Africa (Sudan).


The primary point is just to put out that Africa is a big ass continent.

When you start seeing Papau New Guinea, Bangladesh & Nepal showing up in the list you can tell they were just trying to find nations of the roughly the right sizes to get them to their goal (or Peru but not Brazil) of matching the land area of Africa.

It's inclusion as a 'continent' kinda conveys that whole "it's big" thing.

FYI, 1.47 Africas could fit into Asia. and 11.95 Africas could fit over the ocean. The real question is how many Africas could fit in the Universe? I'm guessing a lot.
