How are you celebrating world water day?

Gobucki

I'm using the Internet!!!
[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]In case you didn't know, the UN in all it's wisdom decided to take time out of their schedule in 1992 to decide on a date to celebrate water instead of focusing on other problems in the world at the time. Well March 22nd was the day they decided on probably after long hours of arguing and maybe even a few chinese curse words thrown around.

"States were invited to devote the Day, as appropriate in the national context, to concrete activities such as the promotion of public awareness through the publication and diffusion of documentaries and the organization of conferences, round tables, seminars and expositions related to the conservation and development of water resources"

That is from one of the main websites for World Water Day (http://www.unesco.org/water/water_c...ons/index.shtml).

So the main question is, how are you going to celebrate world water day? Personally I don't think I'm going to drink an abnormal amount of water to celebrate although some people may choose too! I also think I might pee, as many times as I possibly can today.

I've already done my part ... I clicked on today's custom Google logo and raised self-awareness for World Water Day.

Oh, and this morning I celebrated the Lancaster city water supply by masking the attrocious stuff with 9 tablespoons of Folger's Columbian in the Mr. Coffee.

And I bothered to shower this morning.

I think I will have to take a good "double flusher" in honor of WWD.
Actually, when you have a good sized, courtesy flush requiring double flusher in the public loo, you should leave it, and let your coworkers know that you're recognizing World Water Day with your own personal efforts to conserve our precious water.

For World Water Day I am going to take all of the ice cubes out of my freezer and let them melt. I will then release the water into nature so it can be free from the entrapments of man.
brought a tear to my eye grad.. that was beautiful
