been there a few times... never longer than two weeks at a time...
Traffic was horrendous... got claustrophobic when I saw I was in the middle of what I thought was six lanes... that was eight or nine lanes by the time everyone made their own lanes... when we were all stopped...
Maybe if I lived there for years I could have acclimated to the heat and humidity... but being there for short periods I couldn't... it was rough... most of my trips were in the summer... Nothing like getting all prettied up in a very smart suit... only to be a nasty sweat hog before seeing anyone with hair matted, sweat dripping and shirt completely glued to me... as I walked into my first meeting of the morning
And the cockroaches are bigger than a Cooper car but much quicker... everything.. everything.. goes in plastic bags...
but the food was excellent... despite the first signs I ever saw that said... you must check your guns and knives at the front desk... and proceeded to list the types of guns and knives... at the best Tex Mex restaurant I've ever been to... that was kinda chilling... you knew you weren't in Kansas anymore...
You need to know exactly where you're going... cuz you DON'T wanna be lost in Houston...
