I love the fact that Roth had Takashi Miike play a bit part considering the movie is obviously an homage to Miike's movies like Audition and Ichi the Killer. Now those were some twisted movies...

This movie freaking sucked, I saw it today. .. just a pointless movie. That's about the best I could describe it. It's basically just a worse version of Texas Chainsaw Massacare (minus hottie Jessica BIEL): A group of people visit a town, where there's this mass murder/torturing going on, the whole town is in on it, they get taken to the mass murder/torturing place, then one character defeats his torturer, then has to escape with another character from the mass murder/torture place from the townsfolk who are chasing them, End of movie.

For you sicktards yeah it's pretty gross/disturbing but for some reason I recall Saw 2 being a more "disturbing" movie in the way the people die.

I saw a writeup of Audition that said it was one of the most haunting and brutal things the dude had ever seen...thought I might try and check it out, if I can get my hands on it.

lol yeah my bad, I fixed it. Bottom line: Yeah it really wasn't good at all, the actors were great or anything. The storyline just about copied the same thing from Texas Chainsaw Massacare, really was never very "scary" either. The first 1/3 of the movie was nothing more than a pointless softcore porno. It wasn't until about over midway through the movie did you actually get to the real "plot" of the movie. The movie had gotten good reviews from rottentomatoes.com , but WTF where they watching. Just a run-of-the-mill 'horror/torture' movie.

Personally I think Saw 2 was much better than this POS. Which really isn't say much...
