Holiday Bowl: Oregon 42, Okla St 31 (Final)

Here are Oklahoma State's 9 wins this year:

Wash St.
Houston
Mo St
Troy
aTm
Mizzou
Baylor
Iowa St
Colorado

Are any of those any good, besides Missouri? And Mizzou is barely in the top 20.

Two games in a row, and still just as classless the second time... :shake:

Troy is decent but you're right, not much to brag about. Still, I think they had a good season were a legit top 20 team.

This one had a little more to do with the game. They were playing in the hometown of the kid that died.

That Texas Tech game on the second has me really curious, Mizzou didn't look great against a pathetic NW team, Ok State just looked horrible against a conference that was arguably worse than the Big10 top to bottom. Remember 2006? Remember how the call was that the Big Ten was the greatest thing since sliced bread and 1-2 should be scUM/tOSU again? Time will tell.

I'm fine with broaching the topic...have a pre-game tribute...mention it in the booth. Hell, interview the coach BEFORE the game and bring it up. Just don't go bringing up dead kids when a team is trying to celebrate a big win. It's a cheap emotional heart string tug that is completely unnecessary during an already emotionally happy time. Just no need for it.

I didn't think it was a good thing to bring up again. I was acctually thinking why the hell did they do that again after the announcer said it.

Troy has some big brass balls, I have a ton of respect for that program. They played tOSU, LSU and that other OSU all in the same season. Impressive.

Just got back from the game.... So in order of the most schools I saw people representing at the Qualcomm... Oregon, Oklahoma State, USC and then Ohio State... probably saw about 7-8 different people with Ohio State Sweatshirts on... Gotta love it. When I passed them I would yell "Go Bucks" I got no responses... I guess they thought I was yelling "Go Ducks".:oh:
