Automatic Maxims
This game lived up to the maxim that the team with more to prove in a bowl game is the one to watch.
A&M came in having proven themselves by beating arch-rival Texas - nothing more to prove.
CAL came in still smarting that the co-champ of the PAC 10 got shuffled out of the BCS picture and ranked well out of the BCS qualifying range of the top 25 - more to prove.
