really? without wanting to drag the whole thread into a [censored]ing match, there has seemed to be a high number of incidents with players and questionable actions since he came in. More than I recall with Cooper, but I was young then so maybe I didn't hear much about that, or didn't pay attention. So while you can't argue with the results, I would be hard pressed to say he's brought nothing but saints in since 2000.

the increasing popularity of the internet makes up 65% of that perception, ESPN's 24 hour, multi-month coverage of Maurice Clarett (which ultimately amounted to no wrong doing for Ohio State, not even a failure to monitor, after two full fledged investigations) makes up the other 35%

Really?!? Many will be nice to you because, well I have no idea why.

I can't allow the "there has seemed to be" crap go without a comment. If you believe that to be true, do the research to see if what you believe is actually true. But make sure it is good research. That is, besides looking at JT years versus Coop years, also look at other D1 programs during JT's tenure. To get an accurate measure of the "seemed to be", one needs to look at other D1 programs since there is an element of relativity to it.

Sadly, this type of shit is being lost on most today...the ability to do some basic research to support or refute a belief. On top of this, even my youngest son (an 8th grader) would know that if he were to toss out a "seemed to be" type statement, he better have some research to back up his belief.

might want to revisit the bar fight case. He was found not guilty of that and won a counter suit for defamation of character.
