Is there a map for future coverage? I'm about to sign up for 2 years with sprint EVDO since I'm in a broadband-dead area.
I can check tomorrow at work. Without giving me an exact address could you pm me where you live (downtown C-bus, Dublin, Wothington, etc)?

I'm paying 44 a month for roadrunner from TW because my apartment complex is in some sort of exclusive deal with them. I think it's somewhat overpriced but not much I can do about it. Around 30-35 I think would be reasonable.

I've been running cable modem speed since November 1998, and there is no way in hell I would ever give it up now. I think the pricing is about right, but like MaxBuck, I get more than just my internet (paying 112 for phone, fastest speed (thought it was 5Mbps, not 4), two set tops... 1 with HD and DVR).

Thump, if you're thinking of joining us in the world of anything less than an instantaneous load being considered slow, I'd highly recommend you package your access with your TV and/or phone. Seems to me, their willing to cut ya slack on the overall rates when they get you for more than 1 service.

Ah... that's right... I remember him saying that before.. Looks like it's time for both you guys to move.
We are, to the dead zone :smash:

For $50, I can get 1-5 Mbps, and it's wireless over most of the nation... which will be nice for photoshoots. Im taking the 2 year plunge unless The Man brings me good news tomorrow about FIOS.

get an accountant. no way im giving tax advice... the couple bucks is usaully worth it if you have deductions...
I have a (c)pa-in-law that did our taxes this year... we had to estimate what % of usage was devoted to work for our cell & internet. So writing off 50% means you only use it for work equally with fun.

Business deductions also have to exceed 2% of your income, maybe adjusted gross income. So if you make $100K, your business expenses need to exceed $2000 before you get the deduction. Then there is the business use percentage. It is good if you can bunch vehicle use, books, mags and any other unpaid business expense. Red flag for audits.

I have high speed cable, 3 Mbps, I think. It is part of a package deal, I could never go back.

No.

$1250/month for Time Warner's 10 Mbps fiber optic direct to the home is really quite reasonable.

Sure beats that slow 1.544 Mbps T1 line that ATT wanted $300/month for!
That reminds me, did you guys know the scoreboard in the shoe is run out of the schott via fiber optics? Sorry that was kind of random..

BKB, I thought WOW was doing 5, and RR is only 4? It was much better for online gaming.. and downloading:sneaky:

What do you think?

My ISP is Time Warner, which provides rr and I'd pay the price. Thinking of going to yahoo DSL but anything less than what I'm paying now is by far alright for the speed of the internet. Dial up I would not even sit down. No patience for dail up and DSL would only cost $14.00 a month compared to $42for high speed cable.
