Why in the hell would any true Buckeye fan show mercy for them??? I've been hearing a lot of that these past few days, and it's just plain stupid. I'm sure we all realize that yesterday's stomping has now FINALLY brought us back to even since Cooper was hired. We are now 11-11-1 since Cooper took over. My first year watching the Buckeyes religiously was 1979, so throw Earle's 9 years in there and in my rooting career, the Buckeyes are barely above .500 with a 16-15-1 record.
Obviously, we all know that Michigan fans loooooooove to talk about games that occured well before their respective rooting careers, which puts us 13 games below .500 (IIRC). So, I say, we have at least 14 more wins to grab before I start even considering a thread of mercy.
In the meantime, as far as I'm concerned, we've just pulled back to the good side of even-steven. Now it's time to flex some muscles and pull ahead for once in my long Buckeye fan career. (The sad thing is that I take my fan-career more seriously than my money-making career...)
Fuck Michigan this year, next year, and for many years to come. Hopefully next year we figure out how to shut them out. Only thing wrong with the game yesterday was the 7 on their end of the scoreboard.
