my fiance worked a golf event and part of the gift bag was a scotty cameron putter. her boss got one for each of the staff members, too. if I didn't suck I would just keep it....but what the hell is the point of owning a $200+ putter if it takes 7 shots just to get it to the green?

July 29, 2002: Wide receiver Angelo Chattams is investigated for the alleged theft of a set of golf clubs from a sport utility vehicle in West Carrollton. Prosecutors approve but do not file a theft charge, permitting Chattams to enroll in a program for nonviolent, first-time offenders and avoid a charge. He was excused from the team to deal with the legal matter, then reinstated and played in the season-opener. He does not play again for the Buckeyes.

This brought to mind a round of golf where on the second hole, a 350 yard par 4, I scored an eagle. I started the round playing the worst golf of my life. the first hole was a 500 yard plus par five. I hit 7 ground balls to the green and 2 putted it for a 9.

The second hole, I hit yet another ground ball off the tee with a 3 wood. I then hit my first good shot of the day with a four 4 iron which ended up in the hole. So there I was playing the worst golf of my life and I was only 2 over after 2 holes.

I'm not that knowledgeable about putters. Just what does a Cameron Newport 2 putter do that this one won't do? :biggrin:
