i fully understand what this rivalry is all about and the name calling is appropriate and predictible, but do any of you guys have the least bit of respect for the honorable University of Michigan? can any of you guys admit they are a pretty damn good football team? all i see is scum this and scum that. do you guys realize you're in for a war saturday?

just curious.

Oh, aren't you the clever one. Gee, you mean this game is really going to be a war? No kidding? I guess we better call Coach Tressel and tell him that the weanies are really serious and that the Buckeyes had better start preparing for the game.

so far we have a nice guy and a ... well... what i expected. i was curious to what this board would consist of. it's a great week for college football and i wanted to see what the other side was thinking right now.

there is a UM-OSU site that's always good times during the week of the game. i realize this is just a tOSU board but i thought i might find some cats that were willing to chat it up.

I would take Kevin Jones, Cadillac Williams, TA McClendon, and Quincy Wilson before Chris Perry, and that's just off the top of my head. Perry is a solid runner but I've seen a lot better this year. Before you say anything, I never said Lydell Ross was better.

BuckNutty - chris perry, in a lot of ways is like tOSU football. they (and he) don't get the respect they deserve but they both get it done. chris perry led the nation in rushing most of the year and is currently 3rd. how can you name 4 guys better than him off the top of your head? the dude is tough as nails. he's playing with purpose too. his mom is dying of cancer and he says he's playing every game like it's her last (cuz it might be). never underestimate a guy playing with that kind of emotion.

one guy that MIGHT be better than perry is a guy you didn't even mention: turner from northern illinois. got to see him play up at central mich. he's tough.

and i know ross isn't better. i wouldn't expect you to say that. btw, i met him at aqua/alcatraz once though. i met a lot of your dudes that night. all seemed pretty cool.

but i digress. nobody has answered my original question. is there ANY respect for UM down there or just pure, pissy hate?

Respect?

Geez guys, relax a little. I know it's THE WEEK of THE GAME, but respect? has so far been, well respectful. At least I assume he (generic) has, although I didn't see his post before it was edited. If he turns out to be a troll or flammer, we'll deal with it. The rest of his posts (so far) also seem OK. Heck it's nice to see a rival fan on this board who has a clue about how to post. Almost all the others (so far) have only come to get banned.

That being said, you (respect?) will need to have some thick skin and post responsibly. This IS an OSU board for some of the most hardcore Buckeyes you'll ever run into. Understandably they will get greater leeway than you. You might be surprised to find that many of us just love to talk football/sport even with rival fans once they've (you) earned the "wings".

I respect Michigan very much as an opponent. I don't like Michigan, but having a fierce competitor is what makes our rivalry great. You've got a very good team this year and the 100th Game should be a great battle. Personally, I don't think Perry has any hope for the Heisman. Who knows, maybe this game will change my mind. The Bucks D has made a habit of ruining Heisman hopefull's games the past 2 years, I think they do the same this week.
