Herbie vs Mandell

Did any of you guys get to listen to this??

The jist of it is that Stewart Mandell was on the show to talk about the cnnsi article, and after the interview Herbie asked him about an article he wrote stating that Herbie was unproffessional because of the famouse jumping up and down with eddie shot of him on the sidelines at the fiesta bowl. It then escalated a little and Mandell was in full backpedal. It was REALLY sweet.

It was kind of an ambush, but it's not like the guy didn't deserve it. Media credentials mean that I can say anything that I want about you, in a public forum. If you have a problem with what I said, then you should address it to me in private.....BULLSHIT!

Pretty good stuff. I always enjoy someone calling out a person in the media who usually gives the shots and never has to take them. It starts around the 36th minute in the 3-4 hour.

Got to love how the guy trys to get snippy with Kirk saying....well you must have had some kind of special pass to be that close. And Herbie, is like nope was standing in the media area just like you.

I love how Mandell said he wishes Herbie would have approached the subject privately instead of on the air but he saw no problem with his drilling Herbie in the article. When Herbie asked if Mandell even played at NW was classic

Yeah, I love the morons who write garbage about people, and then whine when they get called out on it. Sometimes I don't agree with Herbie, but you don't have to in order to get a measure of satisfaction out of this exchange.


Any chance our buddy Dodd will be on the show soon?

I just played it back off the website and I think it was great. Backing him down into a corner like the Rat he is. It may have been a cheep shot for Kirk to take on a guest, but he got him good, unprepared, and good. He deserved it. It was like a retaliation brush back pitch in baseball.

He just took him to task. I think that is great. Everything ole Kirk said was true too, about the other TV guys.

I will say this, starting wars like that is probably not in his, or others best interest. Howie started it, and now Kirk is firing back, just curious what will happen next.
