Help: Thinking about buying

It's a memory hog. You need a fast processor, also. This can mean upgrading your computer. $$$
You may be better off just getting a new computer that comes with it.
I'm running XP and happy with it!

The minimum requirements have gone up with the release of every operating system and Vista is no different. While Vista does run much smoother on 2GB of RAM, which today may seem like a lot, is nothing compared to what newer systems are being built to handle.

Windows Vista 64 bit will be able to accomodate 256GB of RAM. That is not a typo folks. So while you think 2GB is too much now, its a drop in the bucket 5 years from now. Be forewarned.
