Help for my daughter's project - music video

buckeyebri

Fight the Good Fight Everbody
  • Ok BPers, I need a little help for a class project that has been handed out to my daughter. Here's the gig:

They need to make a music video to a song that has to do with Romans, Egyptians, Greeks, their Gods or something along those lines. Unfortunately "Walk like an Egyptian" is already gone.

Even with my vast musical knowledge (ahen, ahem) I'm having trouble coming up with a song. I did find "Roman Gods" by the Fleshtones, but I can't find a download of the song.

Any thoughts on songs or any ideas will be greatly appreciated. What ever happened to building something.....

    King Tut (King Tut)
Now when he was a young man
He never thought he'd see (King Tut)
    People stand in line
To see the boy king (King Tut)

How'd you get so funky (Funky Tut)
    Did you do the monkey
    (Born in Arizona)
    (Moved to Babylonia, King Tut)

(King Tut) Now, if I'd known
They'd line up just to see him (Funky Tut)
I'd trade in all my money
And bought me a museum (King Tut)

Buried with a donkey (funky Tut)
    He's my favorite honkey
    (Born in Arizona)
    (Moved to Babylonia, king Tut)

Dancin' by the Nile (disco Tut)
The ladies love his style (boss Tut)
Rockin' for a mile (rockin' Tut)
    He ate a crocodile

He gave his life for tourism (King Tut)
    (Tut, tut, tut, tut)
    Golden idol
    (Tut, tut, tut, tut)
    He's an Egyptian
    (Tut, tut, tut, tut)
    They're sellin' you (King Tut)

    Now, when I die
    Now don't think I'm a nut
    Don't want no fancy funeral
Just one like ole King Tut (King Tut)

He coulda won a Grammy (King Tut)
    Buried in his Jammies
    (Born in Arizona)
    (Moved to Babylonia)
    (He was born in Arizona)
Got a condo made of stone-a

Are there any songs from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" or whatever the hell it's called?

Are they required to dance / perform in the video, or can they make thematic visuals to the backdrop of the chosen song?

If the former go with one of those fun suggestions, King Tut.
If the latter, why not "Nile" by Pink Floyd?

Zorba's Dance from Zorba the Greek.

Any of Holst's The Planets. Although written in regards to the actual planets, the link to ancient gods is pretty clear. Mars, the Bringer of War is a kick-ass piece of music!!!!
