Heisman Rankings Week 6

20 carries for 8 yards and that doesn't knock you out of a pretend 1st place? Sure thing.

Forget about whether last game knocked him out of the race. Why was he even in the race? 100 yards per game rushing, 55-60 per game receiving. Only 3 games has he gotten to 100. I think someone posted something that shows he loses yards on a pretty high percentage of runs. He's shown a lot that he can't be the guy that the team relies on to sustain drives. If you can't rely on a guy, he probably shouldn't be winning the Heisman.

Because he had a couple really big games on national TV with some highlight reel moves. Not saying I agree with his being a Heisman front-runner, because I don't, but I can see why some of the clueless media does.

He had the run in the first Q where he did his spin and run around behind the line of scrimmage and got tackled for a loss. I turned to my brother and said "he does that a lot". Little did I know that would be the running joke the rest of the game, since he did it like 8 more times.....and each time one of us would turn to the other and say "he does that a lot".

Don't forget the receiving force he was coming out of backfield with 4 catches for a whopping 23 yards (5, 10, 8, and 0 yards). So, 24 of his 25 offensive touches went for a grand total of 31 yards, or 1.3 yards per touch...even the second of his two KO returns went for only 8 yards. Still, all the media sees are 172 total yards and 2 TDs.

You're all overlooking that he's one of the most explosive KO returners in the nation. He's leading the country in all purpose yards and that's with a statistically dominant defense that doesn't provide him the volume of KO return opportunities that some other guys are getting.

If JK Dobbins was the feature back and on KO return he'd be running away with the darn thing.

Iowa. And that he started out both Michigan and Ohio State with huge plays for TDs.
