Teddy needs to work on his vision and stop with all the dancing. Speed alone will not make him a great player...gotta do the little things like read the playbook, catch the ball, etc.

Vision, IMO, is really his best attribute right now. He has the vision to help make his cuts which have allowed him to be successful on punt returns and reverses where he can juke through a crowd of defenders. As I have said before, he is a victim of his own success. This off season every magazine was talking about "Teddy the speedsters", at the autograph session, people waited in line for about an hour just for his signature, then the new SI magazine comes out with him as the feature story. I hope hes not buying into the hype - I REALLY hope it isn't the case, because Ted Ginn Senior should be riding his ass right about now. He raised him to do better on the field. If I was Tressel, I would put Gonzolez as the #1 Flanker for this week and put Ginn in there on special plays used to disguise the San Diego defense. Hes trying to do too much without knowing the collegiate level basics. Gonzolez is making the first downs and isn't getting national publicity, though he may only be one step slower - he seems to be the #2 go-to-guy (after Holmes).

next week against SDSU, we should just line them up and punch them in the mouth, we need to play some smash mouth football, we couldnt yesterday and thats why we had so many fieldgoals in the redzone, we need to just line them up, run the ball, and just turn the defense loose.

MAIN thing we need next week is a starting QB. Thats what will be the key. We had QB controversy three years in a row now. We faired well in 2003, but it wasn't good enough to get us to a National Title or Big Ten title. We all know what happened last year and now this year it can all be changed if we can settle in a #1 (preferably Troy Smith).

Atop my Heisman candidacy would be (in no order):
Matt Leinhart
Reggie Bush
Vince Young
Omar Jacobs
Chris Leak

we dont need to trash the players that have made our program what it is....

so everything he has done for us has all been wiped out, because of one bad game?

ted ginn is such a great player, and i feel like some of you are turning on him becasue we lost...you guys are so confused, and you dont know who to blame...so you try to blame anyone you can....we basically lost by 1 point to the NUMBER TWO TEAM IN THE NATION, and one of the best QBs in the NCAA...just chill out.

i wasnt pissed last night when i turned off the TV, becasue i watched the game and lived and died that night, but im pissed at all the fans that seem like there turning on our players.

im sure you can say this stuff on the board, but would you ever go to teddy or troy, or justin, or JT, and say hey, you blew it, you need to stop dancing, you called a bad game, you shouldnt be on the field???? would you do that?

I would gladly tell Teddy to quit dancing and just get it up field. I don't see that as trashing him. If he were my kid and a fan said that to him, respectfully of course, and he was guilty as charged I'd be ok with it.

I would have no problem asking Teddy Ginn to stop dancing sideways and cut up field. To stop b*tching where he wants the ball thrown and to catch it. Yes it was a team effort to lose the game, but he is part of the team, so he will take just as much heat.

Justin Fields now one of four with better Heisman odds than Trevor Lawrence

Tua................7/4
Joe................3/1
Jalen..............7/2
Justin.............9/1
Trevor.............12/1

Entire article: https://collegefootballtalk.nbcspor...ith-better-heisman-odds-than-trevor-lawrence/
I think Vegas will regret its depreciation of Lawrence by the time the season is over, but let's face it: if Heismans were awarded in September, Michigan would have more of 'em than anyone else.

Just sayin': I guess it's no big surprise that the some of the preseason favorites (Spencer Rattler, DJ Uiagaleli, Breece Hall, and Kedon Slovis) have really dropped down the list.
