1. Rivas
2. Young
3. Bush

Yes Rivas would win fattest kicker of the year, he blows all other competition away for that award.

I have noticed that the Heisman Award has shyed away from what it once used to be. Paul Hornung of Notre Dame won it...that year Notre Dame had a losing record. That has only happened once in history where a player won it on a losing team.

Look at when Archie won it the second time, he only had what like 4 td's that year? By today's standards, there is no way he would have even been in Top-10, let alone win it. I feel the award should go to who is the best PLAYER, not who has the best stats.

So yes the player should have good stats and his team should have a good record. But that is not why the Heisman award was started for. It was started to give a award to the best college football player, not who plays for the best team.

This year they will finally get it right for the first time in a while and actually give it to the best player in the nation...Reggie Bush.

im not saying the award should go to the best player on the best team. im saying that it should go to the player that helps the team win the most. you ever said it yourself that archie only had 4 tds? that season, but he helped his team win. i think that should be considered the most

last year was awful, as Bush was USC's mvp (they voted that way), yet he was dead last in the heisman ballot. I don't think Weinke & Crouch were the most talented players in their respective years.

archie had a decent fullback who might have been a first rounder paving the way for him who took all his tds. you are thirce as stupid as i thought you were if youdont think archie should have won his second DAC trophy.

No he deserved to win it the first and second time, no doubt about that. But I was just saying that in this day in age there would be no way he would even be in New York with only 4 td's. I was just trying to give a good example of how much the award has changed over time and how it is awarded now, as compared to before. It has slowly changed from giving it to the best player in the nation, to giving it to the player with the best stats in the nation, on the best team on the nation.

Heisman = Reggie Bush. There is no other player in college football even close.

I think that it is easier to get shut down as a RB, instead of as a QB (Vince Young), because defenses can focus solely on shutting down a certain guy running the ball or receiving it, but as a quarterback, you have alot more options. You can throw to a team full of guys, hand it off in between, and in Young's case, take off and run. I'm not saying that his job is easier, but for Bush to face defenses who know exactly who they have to stop, and to still continue to average 8.6 yards a run and 12.4 yards a reception, is just insane.

Reggie Bush, hands down. He could possibly be one of the best players in college football history. Image if he was the featured back for them. Lendale White takes away at least 12 carries a game from him. I'm afraid they might give it Leinart, just because he won it last year. I thought that the same thing would happen with Jason White, though. Thank God I was wrong.

no way in hell Leinart gets it this year. I seriously doubt he'll even be the 1st runner up.

reggie bush isnt the biggest/strongest person in the world. im not exactly positive that with his frame that he could take the extra 15 hits a game or be a featured back. i think it would wear him down too much. that offense has the greatest balance to neutralize everyones talents. IMO, pete carroll is a great coach.

i also dont beleive that bush will be a featured back in the NFL. maybe thats common knowledge, but thats how i feel

Bush is flat out awesome.

That's doesn't = NFL success, for sure. Still, there is no player in College right now who is better.

Id think about Bush as a WR in the NFL, but he'll get a look at RB and he'll probably do just fine. How many said Barry Sanders had the size to be an NFL back? Not many... you don't wear down when they can't hit ya.
