Heather Pick passes away . . .

Man, that's really sad. I wondered why she wasn't doing the news casts anymore. I figured she moved on to bigger and better things. My grandma had cancer last year so this hit me harder than usual. My condolences to the family.

Wow. I haven't lived in C-bus for awhile, didn't know who she was so I Googled her. Pretty lady, and way too young to die.

I've lost too many loved ones to that damn disease. :(

What a shame.

She battled the disease for years and wore wigs on the air so she could continue working, even while going through chemo.

Really sad thing is that she has small children I believe.

Yeah they have a seven year old and a four year old. Dispatch has a nice story about her today.

Tomorrow night (11/11) WBNS-10tv will air a half hour special called "The Spirit of Heather Pick" at 7:00pm. If you are not familiar with Heather's battle with cancer and her courage to fight it not just for herself, but all women, it is an incredible story about an incredible woman.

My grandpa passed away early this morning after a long hard fight with cancer.

My wishes go out to her friends and family, because nothing is more painful than losing someone you really care about earlier than they should go.

Don't get WBNS here but I've seen that story first hand - twice. My mom and my aunt both lost their battles but I'll never forget the courage each of them showed during that time of their lives. Simply amazing.

Very sad news to hear. My heart goes out to Heathers husband, children, and all those who knew and loved her.

Today is the one year anniversary of my dad's passing from Cancer. Time makes it easier, but it never goes away.

If you are interested in watching, the show will also stream on 10tv.com

I'm very sorry to hear about your aunt and your mom. Losing family to this disease has to be very hard. My condolences.
