Magazine Ranks Healthiest Cities For Men
Men's Health magazine has once again ranked the nation's "healthiest cities" for men.
According to the magazine, San Francisco tops the list of healthiest cities for men, with Honolulu coming in at No. 2, Austin, Texas, as No. 3 and San Jose, Calif., ranked No. 4. Rounding out the top five was Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is the fifth year the magazine has ranked the cities.
Among the worst cities? The magazine gave Charleston, W.Va. , -- where two Biscuit World chains compete -- it's worst ranking. Runners-up were Montgomery, Ala., Detroit, Mich., Memphis, Tenn., and Philadelphia, Pa., All received an "F" from the magazine's editors.
Some of the 25 core criteria for judging the health, quality-of-life and fitness in the cities were measures such as heart disease and prostate cancer, mortality rates, body-mass index, exercise activity, housing density, employment rates, and crime data.
