Adding more to my Day thoughts. Most of this echoes what others have said after time to digest or review the game.
The defense did their job, until they didn’t. I’m still most disappointed in the offense. The big game offense. Absolutely nothing new was done for this game. How many wrinkles? New players? A spark? A surprise/trick?…A risk. Something that shows you have been preparing for this Game like none other. As it should be.
Michigan was scheming guys open. Creative TE release plays. How many times did they get a catch with no one within 5 yards? Now how many times did Ohio State have open catches? Marv’s crossing TD? Everything else was sideline heaves, prayers, diving catches or Stover big hand grabs. It felt lucky to make a play compared to their easy plays.
OSU from top down plays scared. Where are the young hungry kids. Mix in a Tate crossing route underneath, get more X touches, play Hayden who is lightning quick! It’s such an NFL 55-man roster of management.
Also agree on S&C. Bucks do not and have not looked like the stronger, faster and more well conditioned team recently.
Just like last year and the year before and the year before…there’s more room to be done to be Championship level.
