HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

If Day is retained after this year, my only hope is there is enough of the bullshit with the lack of focus on the trenches. Direct the resources in the biggest area of need.

OSU did have massive losses on the OL this season, that most likely significantly changed the course of the game today.

OSU has depth, but most of the guys are development projects with ceilings.

I am sick and tired of losing out on big OL and DL recruits because of NIL, when there is big money going to other areas on the team.

If OSU is consistently mid up front, it will be super difficult to beat a team like Scum.

Day should go right to Bjork this week, and work to secure Sanders. Find the money.

If he goes for it and doesn’t get it, they have great field position and are almost in field goal range to start the drive. If that happened, you and a large amount of other people would be bitching because he didn’t punt the ball away and trust that the defense could make a stop. Literally no matter what he did, people were going to say it was the wrong decision. The decision wouldn’t be nearly as bad if Hamilton/Sawyer bring down Mullins in the backfield instead of allowing that 27 yard run. That in a nutshell is what broke the camels back.
He didn't go for it. He bitched out.

EVERYTHING that Ryan Day says is disingenuous. Brotherhood, toughness, you name it. Did Jim Tressel ever talk about toughness? Did Urban? THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO! THEY BEAT TTUN!
Man inject this into my damn veins. Amen man, I am so sick and tired of hearing about the brotherhood, 4-6 A to B, the toughness shit, the “tough love” , winning nattys etc..

Just shut the fuck up.

There’s 1 goal and that’s to beat Michigan. If we do that then we can get to the title game and win. Then if we do that obviously the playoffs are possible.

Just god damn stop with the slogans. I guarantee you that Ryan Day has “Live. Love. Laugh” somewhere in his house.

A team can be as tough as one can project, but in the end it comes down to the type of talent they recruit.

Which is fine, because there is no reason to fit a square peg into a round hole. Just work to their strengths.

I don't care, because we would still have time.

If that happened, you and a large amount of other people would be bitching because he didn’t punt the ball away and trust that the defense could make a stop.
Not at all.

In fact, I think it would to speak to his trust in the defense, that they could still hold Michigan to a FG with an incredibly short field.

The draw run on 3rd and 10 before the 2nd missed FG was the most chicken shit play call you’ll ever see, that’s essentially playing for a FG with a kicker who had shaken confidence after missing from similar shorter distance earlier in the game.

That’s legit a MAC team play call trying to keep it close against a bigger team. Day and Kelly went full MAC

A very good team and coach, but risk adverse, avoids conflict, etc. You can obviously see based on his post-game non-reaction that he's not the guy to step up during chaos. It's an unfair comparison in some ways, but I think of how Tressel would have reacted to that. Actually, it's not unfair, they both held the same position and should be held to the same standards.
Are you serious? NEVER compare Tressel to Day. EVER

The scum players after the game said OSU is soft..fake tough..not like that etc…that’s on day and that’s why he needs replaced…simple..that fake tough guy shit is bs..nobody outside Columbus believes this team has balls…that’s coaching

The coaches definitely have no balls but of course that rubs off on the players. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s completely lost the team after this game, that game plan screams lack of confidence.

When we called that play I gave up holding out for the offense to get going.

It’s not hard… put 3 WRs on one side and Smith on the other. They’ll have to single cover him and then you throw him the damn ball.

I noticed they did a ton of motioning Egbuka to form a duo of 2 and 4 on one side of the field… I think that’s a mistake because you just made it easier to defend both.

Agreed. Ryan Day is a finesse coach and that probably works in some places but not here.

If you don’t love physical football forget it. Breaks me to hear players talk about our team this way. That should be the last thing people say about the buckeyes man.

Thinking more about it. Bielema. He’s always seemed like a dickhead yet he wins. His teams play tough , physical up front and now he Illinois in the top 25. Cignetti….yet he would cost a lot to hire away now. I’m starting to like the Syracuse HC. He has them looking strong….and Upstate NY is a football free zone Mostly
No thanks x 3. My opinion of course.
