It sure seems that way. Seems like he hasn't been the same since. Sad.Would have been 38 in August
A little over 10 years ago he was a passenger in a car accident in Hawaii and suffered an injury to a part of the brain that plays a role in impulse and emotional control. As he died after being found unconscious at a rehab facility, one can’t help but wonder if that car accident took ten years to kill him.
RIP ... way too young

Does anyone really give a flying fuck about how nice the stadium is if you go to Hawaii to play? I mean, the whole city is basically an entertainment district, you are in an absolute shit Bowl game but you're in Hawaii.
You really going back home saying "Hawaii was nice and all but I'm never going back until they have more craft beer locations in that outdated stadium" ?
Raze the old one if you have to, set up a simple grass field in the middle of a park, put in some bleachers, some shade and viola, you have a place to play football on par with the amount of fucks most people give about playing football when they are in Hawaii.
Some of us live here and care about that stuff.

For just the bowl game, probably not as many as say Tampa or Birmingham, but also probably more than you think (including the schools). But this is also clearly a something bigger than just the stadium, creating something more along the lines of SoFi's area, or what they try to masterplan in most big cities around new large-scale multipurpose venues. I'm sure they want the Pro Bowl back, along with probably plays to draw large scale festivals, trade association events, and similar after looking at that rendering. You need something that at least looks and reads as "high end" on the surface for those things. For UH and bowl games, it's obviously all overkill.

You’re a n Hawaii, do you really care? You sober enough to even remember?Hell yea. Toss up a chain link fence around the field and some cheap metal bleachers for the fans.
