this game is an absolute bitch of a toss up to decide on but my only reasoning for picking UCF is they are a team battling back from a winless season and they have a lot of pride in their school to go from that to a bowl game and they are gettinga new stadium out of the deal. part of it is i feel good for their team and part of it is i think they are going to play lights out since UCF has never been to a bowl game and after the season this same team had last year these guys will feel a complete euphoria about being a bowl game.

There will be more fans on this board interested in this game than there will be fans in the stands. Christmas Eve and no Hawaii team. Right now they're giving away free tickets to military ID card holders.

meh i expect a few more than what people prolly expect. i think UCF is the biggest florida college and it is their first bowl game so that might get some people plus nevada is in reno i believe so i would assume some of the locals have $$$ to get there. then again im so used to being around a strong ohio state fanbase, maybe they just dont give the fuck.

i think it would be humorous as hell to be one of these teams and completely at random they adopted an ohio satte type fanbase. the opposing school brings 1000 people while the rest is filled to the brink with the other school. that would be a complete "what the fuck" and "oh shit" zone all in one shindig. :oh: :io:

I say Nevada, b/c they have played there in their careers, it could really mess up UCF b/c they will be 5 hours I believe it is behind what they usually are. That internal clock will be real messed up.

Then keep in mind that Nevada finished the season strong with a big win over Fresno and UCF lost thier last game to Tulsa.

O'Leary will have the boys ready. And they'll be there days in advance to fix the time change issue.

yea i was puzzled by UCF losing to tulsa and i checked out the stats and they had like 6 TO's so i still went with UCF.

Damn! Free nose bleed seats... I'll take them, do they come with room & board, plus airfare?

Actually the seats are too bad (no real nosebleed seats in Aloha Stadium...it's not big enough to have them). You have to work the itinerary and billeting yourself, though (the Hale Koa is nice)...hell, you're an O-6 selectee, so you have money.. :tongue2:

I reiterate: Damn shame. People will regret not taking the time to see the new power in Florida football while they are still a fledgling.

Yes. I'm biased

It's nothing against UCF. Hawaii is a very family oriented community. Going to a football game on Christmas Eve just isn't in the plans for many people here. In addition, I'm pretty sure that the game will be shown live here. The crowd for UH-Wisconsin on the day after Thanksgiving, which was also shown live, wasn't that big. Wisconsin brought a lot more fans than UCF and Nevada hope to. I could be wrong, but I just don't see that many fans going tomorrow. Agree with you on UCF. They are a solid team who I anticipate hearing from in the near future.
