Where I come from it is hard to make it without a truck. Many people do buy their truck as a status symbol. I, on the other hand, see a truck for what it is, a work vehicle. Too many people buy a 4 wheel drive on want even take it off-road.

The world is full of dumbassess that buy huge trucks and SUVs and don't need them. On the other hand I travel all the time and rent cars and cannot for life of me understand how anyone would want to drive something so cramped and low to the ground. Good thing about this country, you have the right to overspend on the vehicle of your choice.
