After hearing some stories from people at work about haunted places around Cincinnati, does anyone else know of places around Ohio that are "truely" haunted? I have heard Athens is know to be a little haunted.

Cincinnati area.... Story of a place up near Rumpke Dump where if you park your car and turn if off and let fog prints build up, little kids hand marks will start to appear on your window. Also there is a midget land around there somewhere also.

Near Oxford... If you park your car on a certain road a motorcycle will start coming right at you and disappear.

I know there are probably more to the stories I said, I was giving the short version....

Tried the Oxford thing with a bunch of friends in high school and of course it didn't work.

The midget land thing is also a big urban legend, the cincinnati enquirer has done a couple of stories on that in the past.

You can go out to Wehr Road in Trenton. There is a big legend about a serial killer out there by the cemetery (complete with actual axemarks all over one of the mausoleum doors and everything) The story is complete BS, but at night the cemetery and the road itself are pretty creepy (especially when the corn crops are up). Was always a great way to scare the shit out of friends.

I haven't been there in years though so I don't know if any improvements to the road quality have been made. I have heard that cops patrol the area very frequently now though to bust trespassers.

I'm not sure about Ohio.........but you can drive to northern Indiana and see the ghost of envy floating around somewhere. :wink2:

I have never seen ghosts or whatever at these places (maybe because I don't go there in the middle of a moonless night), but they are supposed to be haunted:
Squire's Castle, outside of Cleveland
the Trinway Mansion, in, where else, Trinway (Muskingum County)
the Akron Civic Theater
the canal in Beaver Creek State Park

And in the campus of our favorite university:
Pomerene Hall / Mirror Lake
Bricker Hall
Canfield Hall
Orion Hall (the hauntedest of tOSU)

Some roads / bridges (the whole road isn't haunted, just at a certain bridge at which it crosses another road / train track / creek / whatever):
Clinton Road
Egypt Road
Greely Chapel Road
LeFevre Road
Euler Road
Cable Overpass
Fudge Road
Dean Road
Maud Hughes Road
Reformatory Road
Route 732
Pond Run Road
Route 40

Fudge Road??? is that the one right off the Hershey Highway.

Yeah, you get kinda pooped out going there. (just don't drop the soap!)
Believe it or not, there really is a Fudge Road, near Camden. The haunted part is "CryBaby Bridge" (the locals name for it) just outside of town.

Haunted or not, I don't think I could admit living there....
