I'm pretty sure Ohio State played Oklahoma, because I've heard stories of a last-second field goal to beat Ohio State by the Oklahoma kicker.

Two games with Oklahoma

Like LSU, the Bucks played Oklahoma in a home and home series. We lost on a last-second Uwe von Schamann field goal in Ohio Stadium (1977) and then, in the early '80s, cleaned their clocks in Norman, 24-14, I think. IIRC, Mike Tomczak was quarterback for that game.

One factual error in reporting.

The writer claims that neither team made a first down all game. Cumberland didn't make any moves so that much is easy to understand. Tech however scored each time they ran a play from scrimmage. If they scored then they should be credited with a first down for each such try.
