I went to see "Saw" tonight and it was terrible. The acting and dialog was the worse I have seen in a long time. Do not waste your money on this movie. I was actually laughing my ass off towards the end because of how bad it was. The audience was doing the same.
No kidding. The trailer looked great. The basic premise behind the movie had so much potential, but the acting, dialog and direction was absolutely terrible.
I "Saw" the movie after the OSU game today, and my opinion was different than that of matz. I have been watching horror flicks forever, and I actually like it. It wasn't great per se, and the dialogue was suspect at best at times, but the twists at the end were pretty cool, the ideas of the "games" were original, demented, and at times disgusting, and it had many of the elements of the classic slasher films too. No disrespect to matz at all, but my opinion is that if you expect too much from a horror flick in terms of acting and dialogue, you're going to be disappointed, but if you go in hoping to jolt a few times and have something to be muttering about as you leave the theater (and you like this kind of stuff) this is one of the better films in recent memory in the genre. I personally would still recommend people check it out, at least at a matinee.
Yeah saw sucked i had high expectations which i shoulda known better, but hey i figured if it was half as good as seven or silence of the lambs which they were comparing it to i wouldn't care about paying those outrageous ticket prices. I caught the 10 pm showing at crosswoods and was laughing and cracking jokes with the rest of the audience as well by the end. Why the cast the guy from robinhood men in tights and princess bride is beyond me.
if you like figuring crap out try this game. good little point and click horror game. ExMortis
At least you dont have to listen to corny dialogue.
