The mean is 30 and the standard deviation is 60? Intuitively, that just doesn't seem right.

It's been too long since I've taken a damn stats class.

Here are your givens:
X=45
mu = 30
sigma = 60

Formula: Z= (X-mu)/sigma
Z= (45-30)/60 = .25

For Z = .25, the percentage of samples between 30 and 45 is 9.87%.
Since the percentage of samples greater than 30 is 50%, the percentage greater than 45 is going to be (50-9.87) = 40.13%.

Looks like you guessed well, kemosabe.
