THE father of a toddler called Adolf Hitler Campbell says it is unfair that a store denied him a birthday cake with his child's name on it.

New Jersey man Heath Campbell, 35, has decorated his home with swastikas and says he is related to a member of the SS.

But he says it is the store that wouldn't write "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler" on a cake that should be showing more consideration for other people's feelings.

"They need to accept a name. A name's a name. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what (Hitler) did," he told the Associated Press.

But the ShopRite store that refused the cake request says it did the right thing.

"We believe the request ... to inscribe a birthday wish to Adolf Hitler is inappropriate," spokeswoman Karen Meleta told the Express-Times newspaper.

The store has also refused to make a cake bearing the name of Mr Campbell's daughter, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, who turns two in February.

Mr Campbell and his wife Deborah also have a daughter Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, named for SS head Heinrich Himmler, who turns one in April.

He said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name".

"They're just names, you know," he told the Express-Times.

"Yeah, they (Nazis) were bad people back then. But my kids are little. They're not going to grow up like that."

"Other kids get their cake. I get a hard time," he said. "It's not fair to my children.'

Mr Campbell said he didn't expect the names to cause problems when the children start school.

Adolf Hitler Campbell, 3, is sandwiched by his parents.

This Hitler youth is blond-haired, blue-eyed and just turned three.

Adolf Hitler Campbell is the middle child of three kids given Nazi-themed names by their parents, including a dad who denies the Holocaust occurred and decorates his home with swastikas.

"They're just names, you know," father Heath Campbell told the Easton Express-Times. "Yeah, they (the Nazis) were bad people back then. But my kids are little. They're not going to grow up like that."

Adolf has two sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie. The latter, just eight months old, was named for Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler.

The bizarre names came to public attention after a local ShopRite declined to provide the Holland Township, N.J., family with a cake inscribed "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler."

"Other kids get their cake," Campbell complained. "I get a hard time. It's not fair to my children. How can a name be offensive?"

The kids are growing up in a home festooned with a swastika in every room. The father wears boots that once belonged to a Nazi soldier, and claims a relative was a member of Hitler's feared Schutzstaffel.

The parents insist they are not racist, although they don't believe in mingling the races.

And Heath Campbell claims he doesn't understand why people are shocked when they hear his son's full name.

Someone give him a history book.

If a black couple went to the same store and were denied a cake because their kid was named "Shaka Zulu Smith", how long do you think it would be before they brought the store up on charges? Or a Chinese couple with a kid name "Gengis Khan Wang"?

It's obvious that "ma and pa" Goosestepper are fucking psychos, but a store shouldn't get to police what names go on a fucking birthday cake.

I don't believe Neo-Nazis are protected by anti-discrimination laws. Really, they're part of the reason we have them. Retailers do reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, as long as it's not on the basis of racial or religious discrimination, which Aryans don't qualify for. If you went back 50 years, the black and Chinese parents wouldn't have been allowed in the store to begin with. I see your point, Milli, but, personally, I find nothing wrong with Nazis getting the shaft, whether it's fair or not. Especially New Jersey Nazis. Especially New Jersey Nazis who say, "Yeah, we have swastikas all over our house, and name our kids after Nazi leaders, but that doesn't mean we agree with what Hitler did!". Buy a fucking blank cake and some icing, and put the name on yourself. While they're decorating the cake, they can use the quality time with little Adolf to explain to him how all the shit he's going to get his whole life is to be blamed on other races, rather than his idiot parents.

Not to mention they weren't refused service, they just wouldn't write the name on the cake. The first place even offered him a blank cake and was going to let him write it himself, and he refused.

These idiots have the right to free speech just like everyone else, but a private corporation does not have the obligation to protect it by allowing them to put anything they please on a cake. If this were about free speech, they would've been perfectly happy buying a box of Duncan Hines and making their own damn cake.

Ultimately this isn't about rights or principles so much as it is about institutionalizing their stupidity and trying to make as many other people as possible a party to it by making it legal name and hiding behind some bullcrap about how this name is just as special or sacred or deserving of respect as yours or mine. It's the same shit that Chad Johnson is pulling, but worse. At least Chad Johnson isn't invoking genocide and bigotry with his stupidity. At least Chad Johnson did it to himself, and not his children.

I hope these kids can get a name change once they reach the age where they become aware of what kind of impact this will have on them for the rest of their lives. I hope by some miracle they don't become degenerates like their parents.
