Nothing so mundane as my wedding anniversary. Today is my 1-year anniversary of joining the Planet! And this is my 2000th post (which I admit to planning).

Here's what I've learned in the past year;

1. Enjoying the best team in the land in the best sport in the world is even better when sharing it with other posters who share those beliefs. I think those of us that are a ways from Ohio (like in Quahog) appreciate this more

2. BP is the best fan site on the Internet (thanks, Al, for inventing it)

3. Freedom of posting (speech) has great value

4. ESPN sucks even more than I thought they did a year ago

5. Good fans from other teams add significantly to the content of the board

6. The rep and warning systems usually work pretty well in dealing with trolls and flamers

7. There are features of the board that I still don't know about. Just thias week I learned about the individual post-counter display at the front of each thread, and the bad-post icon

8. Idiots still start threads on the wrong board. But I haven't done that since yesterday, Mili

9. I show as the 13th member with 2000 posts. I'm avoiding the number 13, however, since there was a name called DiHard that was over 2K before morphing

10. I've only been called a homo by Thump once or twice (that number will now go up, just on principle)

11. I have a dirtier mind than g21

12. But I don't drool over underage girls like 27

13. Only some of my threads suck as bad as the guy in the double-wide in exhawg's back yard

14. I've got to have one more thing to avoid #13 again. So thanks to everybody who makes this board such a great experience, and thanks to Clarity for originating it. And there's still time to contribute to the Spring fundraiser!

How in the **** did you manage 2k posts in a year? That's a lot of typing

I've been here for a year and 12 days and have over 300 posts less than you
I take lessons from Thump. He just made a post with 4 letters. Although he could switch to calling people 'fag', since that's only three. I know he won't resist the easy opportunity to pad his count be calling me one now.

And BFS is about to hit 2K in just over six months.

15. Even though we lost great posters/contributors in BuckNutty & Buckskin86, other guys have done a wonderful job picking up the slack.
Nutty and 86 laid the foundation and their vision and dedication to that forum was second to none.

This is Bill's thread, but WadC45, HighStreet, BN44820, and LJB have been unreal in the recruiting forum. With Highstreet and Alan doing their excellent interviews and networking, HH and Nevada providing the inside scoop, and Clarity staying true to the 100% free philosophy...BP is setting itself apart as the best tOSU fan site on the net. Owned by fans, run by fans, designed for fans.

BTW, congrats Bill...you've been a great contributor around here.

I've decided to use my 1000th post to congratulate you on your 2000th.

Also, now that I have reached 1000 posts am I at the rank of Level One Wizard or do I still need to collect more majic and life points?

2000 in a year?! It took me one week past my first year to reach 1000. Of course excessive alcohol abuse has completely wiped out all of my short-term memory, and now all I can post are smart-ass remarks, and possibly some Buckeye history from the 1990's.:wink2:

Congrats on 1 year at the best site on the internet.
