Nothing so mundane as my wedding anniversary. Today is my 1-year anniversary of joining the Planet! And this is my 2000th post (which I admit to planning).
Here's what I've learned in the past year;
1. Enjoying the best team in the land in the best sport in the world is even better when sharing it with other posters who share those beliefs. I think those of us that are a ways from Ohio (like in Quahog) appreciate this more
2. BP is the best fan site on the Internet (thanks, Al, for inventing it)
3. Freedom of posting (speech) has great value
4. ESPN sucks even more than I thought they did a year ago
5. Good fans from other teams add significantly to the content of the board
6. The rep and warning systems usually work pretty well in dealing with trolls and flamers
7. There are features of the board that I still don't know about. Just thias week I learned about the individual post-counter display at the front of each thread, and the bad-post icon
8. Idiots still start threads on the wrong board. But I haven't done that since yesterday, Mili
9. I show as the 13th member with 2000 posts. I'm avoiding the number 13, however, since there was a name called DiHard that was over 2K before morphing
10. I've only been called a homo by Thump once or twice (that number will now go up, just on principle)
11. I have a dirtier mind than g21
12. But I don't drool over underage girls like 27
13. Only some of my threads suck as bad as the guy in the double-wide in exhawg's back yard
14. I've got to have one more thing to avoid #13 again. So thanks to everybody who makes this board such a great experience, and thanks to Clarity for originating it. And there's still time to contribute to the Spring fundraiser!
