Half Life Key

My sister-in-law's boyfriend lent me his Half-Life disc for the PC, but it doesn't have the jewel case/sleeve. Does anyone have a key for this game that I could use to play it?

Are you just lookign to play it offline? if so, a keygen would work there.

Just offline. How do I get a keygen? Are these things that carry malware or anything like that?

could this brother look something up on his PC? There's a way to find it if it's installed.

Start menu
run
regedit, after it opens, navigate through these sections:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
VALVE
HALF LIFE
Key DWord value is the CD Key

You wouldn't happen to have any other Valve games? If so, the majority of them use the Source engine, and there is a group that is redoing the entire first Half Life using the Source engine (it will be called Black Mesa). If you have a Source game already it will be free.

Half Life with better graphics. Of course it's not out yet, and not sure when it will be out.

BTW...have you tried to search for keycodes? Try that, or just call Valve and tell them you lost the jacket. I doubt they are going to make a big deal of giving you a code for a game they just recently sold for 1 penny (it was an anniversary sale).

Hmm, not sure. I looked on ebay to see if anyone was selling their cd key, but no dice. Finding a keygen (and scanning it thoroughly) might be your best option.
