Well, "killed" is a very, very big word.

If a locked trunk is pushed into the Mississippi River, can we really know that the person inside the trunk "died?" People get out of trunks all the time. People routinely move away leaving no forwarding addresses. If one is not at all sure about "death", the very notion of "killed" is presumptuous.
