2009 STUDENT FOOTBALL TICKET POLICIES AND PROCEDURES said:
D. GROUP SEATING
15. How do I request group seating with other students?
2009 Ohio State Football Student Group Seating Instructions
Online window open: Monday, June 15 ? Monday, June 29
E-mails have been sent to the OSU e-mail addresses of each student who has placed a ticket order in the reserved student seating areas. Students who have purchased reserved seating should follow the instructions at the bottom of this message to complete the group seating process. The group seating window will be open from 7:30am on Monday, June 15 to 4:30pm on Monday, June 29. To access the group seating window, students will need NEW login information (which is different from their Ticketmaster logins they used during their original ticket purchase). This login information was provided in the ?group seating? e-mail that was sent out just recently. Those that did not receive the e-mail with their login information are welcome to contact the OSU Ticket Office by e-mail at [email protected], by phone at (614)292-2624 or in person at the Ohio State Ticket Office in the SE corner of the Schottenstein Center.
Students who have purchased seating in Block O will not be able to facilitate group seating for their tickets as Block O is a general admission first-come, first-served seating area. The group seating window will be available only for home games. Those that also purchased away game tickets, should refer to our website, The Ohio State Buckeyes Official Athletics Site - OhioStateBuckeyes.com (and click on TICKETS) to view the 2009 Student Football Ticket Policies pertaining to away game ticket assignment and pick-up.
As a reminder, student seating is allocated based on the lowest class rank in the group. Class ranks used are the class ranks as of the end of winter quarter, and are defined by the University as the following:
Rank 0 Completed 0 credit hours of coursework at OSU as of the end of winter quarter 09
Rank 1 Completed 1-44 credit hours of coursework at OSU as of the end of winter quarter 09
Rank 2 Completed 45-89 credit hours of coursework at OSU as of the end of winter quarter 09
Rank 3 Completed 90-134 credit hours of coursework at OSU as of the end of winter quarter 09
Rank 4 Completed 135 credit hours or more of coursework at OSU as of the end of winter
quarter 2009
* Professional student class rankings are determined by each individual college. If you have any questions, please contact your college.
Each group should designate a group leader which will create the group and inform all desired members of the group name and password. The group leader may limit which class rank(s) may join his/her group. This way, if a group of seniors wishes to remain as such, the system will not allow students of any other rank to join their group. The group leader defines this during the Group Creation process.
If adjustments to your group seating selection need to be facilitated after you have joined a group, each student must edit his/her own order by following step D below. Changes to groups may only be made while the group seating window is open. Group changes will not be possible after the group seating window is closed.
A. Login to your student account on the Ohio State Buckeyes Account Manager website:
1. Logon to The Ohio State Buckeyes Official Athletics Site - OhioStateBuckeyes.com and click on TICKETS in the upper right-hand corner
2. Click on MANAGE YOUR OHIO STATE BUCKEYES ACCOUNT
3. Login using your NEW login information (NOTE: This is different than the My Ticketmaster account login created during your initial ordering period). If you have not received your login information, please contact the Ohio State Ticket Office via e-mail to [email protected], by phone at (614)292-2624 or in person in the SE corner of the Jerome Schottenstein Center.
B. Group Creation (this process should only be facilitated once, and by the GROUP LEADER ONLY)
1. Login to your student account in the OSU Ticket Office (Step A above)
2. Under STUDENT GROUP in the lower left-hand corner, click CREATE A GROUP
3. Enter the Group name (group names are case-sensitive, therefore spaces will affect the group name. If the group leader types in ?The Ski Club?, all accounts that wish to join this club must type in ?The Ski Club? with spaces to be able to join)
4. Enter the password for the group (group passwords are also case-sensitive)
5. Re-enter the password
6. Select the class ranks that the group leader wishes to allow into the group
7. Select the maximum number of seats that can join the group
8. Select the events that are being set up for the group
9. If the group leader wishes to automatically assign their seats to the group, make sure to check the box which indicates ?Assign all my tickets to this group, for the above selected events?. If the box is unchecked, the group leader?s seats will not be assigned to the group and he/she will have to choose manually which seats they wish to be part of the group
10. Click CONTINUE at the bottom to verify the group setup information and click CREATE GROUP if satisfied with the group setup
11. The group has now been created and the group confirmation appears. An e-mail has now been sent to the group leader with the group name and group password. It is the responsibility of the group leader to share this information with individuals they wish to join this group
C. Join a Group (this process should be facilitated by all students who wish to join the group created by the Group Leader)
1. Login to your student account in the OSU Ticket Office (Step A above)
2. Under STUDENT GROUP in the lower left-hand corner, click VIEW/JOIN A GROUP
3. Select the events/seats you wish to be included in the group and click GROUP
4. Enter the Group Name and Group Password of the group you would like to join and click CONTINUE (group names and group passwords are case-sensitive)
5. Verify that this is the correct group and click JOIN THIS GROUP
6. The JOIN THIS GROUP confirmation page will appear and you may click to JOIN MORE GROUPS if you choose to do so
7. An e-mail will be sent to you confirming your group selection
8. If you need to change or edit your group selection(s), you may do so by following step D below
D. Edit my Group Selection (used to make adjustments to seats already assigned to a group)
1. Login to your student account in the OSU Ticket Office (Step A above)
2. Under STUDENT GROUP in the lower left-hand corner, click VIEW/JOIN A GROUP
3. Click VIEW/EDIT next to the item you wish to edit
4. Verify this is the correct item you wish to edit and click REMOVE FROM GROUP
5. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that you have been removed from the group
6. To join another group for that item, refer back to step C above
7. NOTE: Changes to group criteria, for example changing the group name/password, class ranks allowed, etc. may only be facilitated by the group leader
