As it is, Spain/Portugal next up...that's an epic game for a round of 16 matchup.

Yep - and he did nick Torres's back foot so that it hit the back of his other leg, tripping him up. Torres wasn't diving on that play - it would have been stupid to dive just before he got inside the box. The bump appeared to be inadvertent, as Estrada was ball-watching at the time, but because of the earlier play, the referee didn't give him the benefit of the doubt.

I finally had a good vAfternoon in the WC.

I disagree. When a guy's running full speed, and one leg gets knocked into the back of the other one, down he goes.

And Torres isn't exactly a favorite of mine - I called him overrated when the game started.

I think he could have stayed on his feet given the fact that they were threatening to score. They need to stop rewarding people for falling down....but that'll never happen.

Other than Iniesta's nice finish, the other positive part of the play was that the referee saw the advantage, and didn't weigh in on Torres going down until after the goal.

I agree with the sentiment, apparently expressed recently by Bob Bradley, that guys acting like they got their noses broken when nobody touched their face should get a yellow card after the match. That would cut down on some of the acting and embellishing, but they'll never erase it completely.

I wasn't being vGenerous -double the winnings amount was just the same as the proper settling would have paid - it's the amount wagered plus the winnings on a 1-1 wager.
