Green Dots on NFL QB's Helmets?

Please, does anyone know why the QB on each team is the only one with a green circle/dot on the back of his helmet? thxs a lot

no one noticed it but, my 11 year old nephew and he keeps asking me and making me feel dumber then dumb :( he has problems , he reads books during football/baseball games :)

I've wondered the same thing, my only guess is to indicate that is the helmet with the headset in it but again, that's only a wild guess.

as far as the whole Bill Belichick stealing signals thing goes, why don't they just wire the MLB or whoever on D? then they wouldn't have to worry about it...

I thought maybe they did it to make the QB easier to spot by the refs as there are special rules on roughing the QB... The wired helmat makes more sense. I now expect to hear about a run on sticky green dots at Staples.

It's to show who has the wireless helmet for playcalling.

One per team (offense).

Sorry for the delay. I think the green dots might note which helmet has the headset. Not sure, though.

The green dots are for non-felons. It's a select group.
