What a bunch of moral and upstanding people we have on this board. Is this how you are raising your kids - that it's okay to steal in certain circumstances?

And I find it most ironic that I'm an atheist and I'm the one who's pushing hardest on the "Thou Shall Not Steal" mantra. :crazy:

(And one reason I feel so strongly about this topic is that my sister works for a company that owns the rights to many of those movies and TV shows, and lost revenues for her company does effect her livelihood)

In all honesty, I've paid for every song I've ever downloaded and every movie I own. Movies and music are so relatively inexpensive that I never considered otherwise. And besides, I'll pay more for uncompressed CD's and DVD's (and HD-DVD's) that look and sound better than the stuff you get off the internet.

20 bucks for a DVD, 15 for a CD....Thank God for DVD burners.

Or why don't you just do the right thing and pay for the product you're using? The only reason you're stealing them is because it's easy, convenient and there's little risk of being caught. Don't be cheap, I'm sure you can afford to join Netflix or Blockbuster.
