Just got back from Europe and still buzzing from a phenomenal travel experience. Upon my return, I found out I'll be going to either Rome or Mexico in December...so I was extra pumped for round 2. So, in the high travel spirit, I began looking for quality travel sites that let you keep notes on the places you've been and make pushpins on a map and things of the nature. Basically a great site that would let you share your experiences, and at the same time, learn from those of others. Anyway...
The name of this site is www.realtravel.com and it is an incredible tool for frequent travelers or just those who are planning on going somewhere. It is entirely posted by users so everything is truly experience based. My favorite features are the hotel & restaurant reviews, the favorite pictures, the pushpin map that keeps track of the cities you've been to and the number of countries and finally of course the blog entries which allows you really get a feel for some of the places people have been.
I'd be interested to see if some of the more experienced journeymen (or women) of BP would care to join. I figured if anyone would be a great asset to the site, it would be BB. Another nice thing about realtravel.com is that there are people from all over the world who use the site, not just Americans. Always nice to get some outside perspectives. Anyhow, just thought I'd pass the word. My recent trip to Paris/Barcelona with the better half really has us inspired to plan our next two stops (most likely Mexico, then Thailand).
If you head over there, let me know what you think.
