If you look on the map and see a white dot surrounded by a red circle that is a crew member and should be friend not foe. :lol:

Has anybody played the stock market yet? I know what happens in game impacts the market. Maybe it's time for a group effort of destroying several of the same gas stations while buying stock in their rivals or something like that.

I don't think the BAWSAQ is currently operational online. Hopefully it will be in the future, because it would be fun trying to manipulate it.

Alrighty, I have had similar issues in the past (Not with this game however).

How are you connected? Wireless/ethernet from the router, or directly to the modem?

How many items are connected?

In my situation, I ended up replacing my router. I could reset it and it would work for awhile...but once I bought my new one ($25 linksys wireless G setup) I never got kicked off.

EDIT: It may help to assign your PS3 a static IP, then set it as the DMZ. Here's some helpful instructions:

Part 1-(On PS3)


  • Firstly, you will need to assign your PS3 a static internal IP address. Normally whenever a device connects to your router it will be assigned a different internal IP address. These are normally 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, 192.168.1.4 and so on. Assigning a static one will ensure that your PS3 will get the same one every time it connects.
  • Go to the “Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings” option on the PS3 XMB. Choose whether you are using wireless or wired.
  • Both selections should show a page called “Address Settings”. Here you will need to select “Custom”. Another page will then display entitled “IP Address Setting”. The option “Manual” will need to be selected.
  • This will display a page where customizable IP Addresses are available to be entered.
  • IP Address - This will need to have the Static IP address in it. Use 192.168.1.80, simply because it is unlikely that 80 other devices will be connected at the same time.
  • Subnet Mask - always set to 255.255.255.0
  • Default Router - Is the internal IP Address of your router.
    1. To get the exact ip of your router you should go to
    2. Start
    3. Run
    4. cmd [Hit Enter]
    5. Type in ipconfig and hit enter, this should come up with all the ip addresses to do with your computer and the network. The address you will need to enter in this option is listed as “Default Gateway”.
  • Primary DNS - Same IP Address as “Default Router”
  • Secondary DNS - Same IP Address as “Default Router”
  • Proxy � When you get to the proxy screen, select “Do not use Proxy”
  • MTU � Automatic
  • UPnP � Enabled

Part 2-(On PC)


  • In your Internet Browser, type the address of your default gateway, this will take you to your Router Configuration Page. Look for any mention of DMZ
  • When you have found this, it will ask you for the Static IP of the DMZ host. This is simply the Internal IP that you assigned your PS3. We used 192.168.1.80.
  • Finally, turn off your Router, PC and PS3 for a few minutes to ensure that the new settings are loaded. Then your ready to go!

This sounds boring. I have done one parachute challenge and it was boring to say the least. Survivals can be fun. The rest are meh.

I am interested in the new weapons. How much does ammo for some of those higher level weapons cost? I am looking @ulukinatme for an answer on this. I think he is a level 90+ ninja by now.

Wireless & 3-4 connected, depending on if my fiancé is here or not (PS3, laptop & 2 cellphones). I'll give that static IP a try. Thanks!!!

Saw a thread about it on Reddit, but there is a mission called "Coveted" that pays $12k and takes about 4 minutes (I timed myself, and I'm not a very good cargobob flyer :lol: ) I made about $90k in 30 minutes.

Copied from the thread over there:

1. Select Online from the start menu
2. Select Jobs
3. Select Host Job
4. Select Missions
5. Select Coveted (Must be at least level 36).
