Grades for this 2006 class

My grades for this class by position, and overall

QB-A+ Needed 1, went into Georgia and signed perhaps the fastest rising prospect in America. The 2nd coming of Troy Smith sounds good to me.

RB-A+ Signed the #1 RB in America (and a big back to boot), and the #1 FB to block for him. Did not need to sign any more for depth.

WR/TE B- Small is great, but losing Chichester to grades, and not signing any more WRs downgrades this position. I'll split the difference w/ the O-line and say 1 of Miller/Ballard stays at TE. I would have liked to have seen more of a pass catching/stretch the field type TE signed, oh well

OL B- A class of Smith,Browning, and Miller/Ballard is OK, but I refuse to give an OL class a B+ or A if they only sign 2 for sure OL-you gotta have more #'s to get the A!!!!

DL B+ All three guys seem like studs, only thing keeping this position from an A is #'s

LB-A+ Grant and Johnson were the keys. Grant allows Gibson to RS and bulk up, Johnson is the MLB of the future-we needed one.

S-A Gant and Schwartz both seem like excellent prospects-great size 200+ and speed 4.5-combos. Tressel sure does love to recruit his safeties......

CB-B+ If Chekwa turns into a stud, this goes to an A. Critical to sign more CBs next year.

Overall- A- We landed the #1 RB in the nation, and a must get recruit in Wells, plus had a monster year recruiting LBs when it was critical we do so. Great talent everywhere else. Lack of receiver/OL/TE #'s gets this class the minus.
