Also wondering if anyone knows if Ted Ginn has been coaching this week and will be on the sidelines or is still staying back.

Can't remember the source, but an ohio news paper reported that Ginn Sr. will not be on the sideline this week, or next week for that matter, but a in a few more should be ready to return.

Thanks for the update. I just wonder if they are struggling if he will be able to sit up in the box and take or if he will be down on the field.

Cols Brookhaven- 26

Little over 3 minutes left in the 4th Quarter.

It was 14-12 at the half but then Glenville started to run away with it. I don't have any stats though.

Well, as a Brookhaven alum, I would feel a bit sorry for them if they were sending players to the Buckeyes instead of to Glen Mason! Go Glenville!

I hope Jeff Cumberland decides he doesn't want to spend the next 4 or 5 years losing to this same bunch of guys. BTW how did Cumberland and the big lineman from Brookhaven look? Did anyone from Glenville really stand out and shine?

Glenville (2-0), which made history last season by becoming the first football program from the Cleveland Municipal School District to advance to the state semifinals, was in a dogfight for the first 24 minutes and clung to a 14-12 lead at halftime. Brookhaven (1-1) has moved up to Division I this season after capturing the 2004 Division II state championship.

"Coach Ginn [Ted Ginn Sr.] said to me at halftime, 'You're playing bad, man, you're playing bad,' " said Raymond Small, Glenville's all-around standout senior. "I had to please coach Ginn, so I just tried my best."

Small's best, combined with the Tarblooders' pad-rattling defense and a 129-yard, three-touchdown rushing performance by senior tailback Bruce Frieson, were the difference. Frieson benefited from another outstanding performance by his offensive line.

One of the most coveted recruits in Ohio, Small set up Frieson's second TD by returning the second-half kickoff 74 yards to the Brookhaven 20. After Brookhaven got back in the game on a 33-yard scoring run by 5-4, 155-pound senior tailback Markell Lacy, Small recaptured the momentum by returning the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Small, who also scored the game's first TD on a 53-yard catch and run, took home the first game's MVP trophy.

"It was big, bringing the Charity Game back," Small said. "I just want to say thanks to everyone. It was a nice thing, letting us play in this special game."

damn brookhaven lost, i'm certainly not a brookhaven fan(i'm on beechcroft's football team) but i really wanted them to win because of what happened last year with us missing out of the playoffs by half of a computer point, we need our opponets to win all of the games they can, and with 'haven being our only opponet that really helps us in the rankings this sucks
