Giants @ Vikings game date postponed.

Only available in New York and Minnesota, the rest of us will get treated to Fox reruns. Shame too because this game is more interesting to me then Houston vs Baltimore.

They should make it available to Sunday Ticket subscribers since we would have had it without the delay.

why does it make zero sense?
minny's stadium only holds 5k less than the metrodome.

they're playing a game in Chicago today in cold, windy, snowy conditions.

that makes more sense than them all flying down to New Orleans (like ESPN said is an option) just to play in a dome.
theyd have to dig the stadium out (shovel and haul the snow out of the stands) along with clear the field and get uminn approval, which probably wouldnt happen since the three groups (gophers, vikings, city/state) are having or have had i giant hissy fit.

DETROIT — Dozens of fans are braving icy roads, bitter cold and long lines to achieve their goal of seeing a Monday night football game in Detroit.

The Minnesota Vikings' home game against the New York Giants was moved to Monday at Ford Field in Detroit after the Metrodome's inflated roof collapsed under the weight of heavy snow a day earlier.

The Detroit Lions planned to start distributing free general admission tickets at 9 a.m. EST at the Ford Field box office. Some fans were there hours ahead of time, standing and shivering in the darkness and 12-degree temperatures.

By 8 a.m., the line had snaked around the side of the NFL stadium.

Just turned it on.
How big is the crowd?

Midfield logo looks like hell.
Shoulda just left the lion.

The crowd actually looked pretty decent considering the circumstances, but I only saw a little clip on Monday Night Countdown.

Pretty funny series of events though.. the Giants don't fly to Minnesota early even though it's been known for a while that there would be a blizzard.. they get stranded in KC. Then the dome collapses and it wouldn't have mattered if they would have made it to Minnesota anyways. Weird.
