Giants 36 at Cowboys 22 (F)

Great move by Parcells. :!

Edit: Maybe I spoke to soon...Overall Romo has played a solid game, but his mistakes have been really dumb and one would think that a vetran Bledsoe could of done what Romo did - the mistakes.

Romo looks like a klutz. He needs to learn how to throw the ball away, and when not to.
There was only one play where I thought that he should've thrown it away, and that was on the Robbins' INT. He operated on all but one snap down by double-digits, so I don't think he was really all that eager to just waste downs. Can't blame him for trying to make a play in that situation.
Looks like a major upgrade from Bledsoe... :roll2:
Uh, yeah. Just the fact that Romo's in the game opens up the offense, seeing as how we don't have to waste the play-making abilities of Witten, Fasano, Barber, and Jones by keeping them in the backfield to protect.

I know his first INT was tipped, but it would of been picked even if it wasnt tipped. That was a horrible decision.

I agree with the idea behind this, but I think that Drew can make plays if given time. I honestly think a lot of the blame needs to be on the guys up front. I have not watched all the Cowboys games so can't make a great judgement, but when you are keeping guys in the backfield to help block it either has to do with a bad scheme or bad protection, b/c it isnt like he doesnt have receivers that can't get open.

Witten was right behind Strahan. If it hadn't been tipped, he would've at least had a chance to catch it.

He is given time, but our aging OL can only give him so much time. He's not only immobile, he holds on to the ball for way too long sometimes. Romo's decisions weren't great, which is understandable seeing as how those were the only meaningful snaps he's ever taken, but at least he got the ball out of his hands and gave our guys opportunities to do something. Witten and Owens were pretty much non-existent in the first half, and the Giants were bringing 6 and 7 guys every play. Romo got both of them involved immediately, which, along with making some plays early with his feet, kept the Giants from blitzing as often.

I would have to see the play again, but from watching it and seeing the replay, even the announcers mentioned that the ball would of been picked. I thought the defender was in between Romo and Witten.

I understand what you mean, and if Romo cuts down on his bad decisions and can make them while being under mad pressure at times he could become a pretty good qb, but at this point in the season I think it is tough to put a guy like Romo in there if they want to make a run, b/c he is going to have his ups and downs and Dallas plays in a tough divsion and has some tough non-conference games left.

After that confidence-killing game, and with our schedule, I don't think we'll be able to make a run regardless, but I honestly think we'd have a better chance to with Romo. Like I said, he gets everyone involved and keeps teams from buckling their chin straps and bringing it constantly. He's going to make some bad decisions, though I can stomach rookie mistakes from a 26-year old who had thrown 2 regular season passes before tonight, but from a 35-year old 14 year veteran who's started nearly 200 games, not so much.

With that pathetic excuse for an offensive line I think Romo is the choice. Whether he's their QB of the future remains to be seen but I guess at some point you need to let him play and find out. If Bledsoe isn't going to protect the ball there is no reason to keep him out there.
