Georgia Tech 7, CLEMSON 31 (final)

Clemson could make things very interesting for the BCS - they are playing great football right now, have an easy schedule to finish the season (at VPI; home for Maryland, N.C. State, and S. Carolina; then the ACC championship game), and still have an outside shot to make it to the BCS title game.

As one of those sending in a "BP Poll" (which means as much to the BCS as the AP Poll :) ) I must admit I am in a quandary about where to slot Clemson right now.
Last week I had them at #10 - already 4 spots higher than GT. After this dismantling of GT how high should they go? Their win included a shut-down for the most part of Calvin Johnson along with highlight reel spints to the endzone from Spiller & Co.
So, who "ahead" of Clemson should, in good conscience be dropped? Made difficult because most ahead of Clemson took care of business, or, like USC were idle. And if you drop them, is that done on the basis of how well they are playing now - or the entire body of work for the season?
On balance I'm leaning to moving them up 2 spots to #8 - letting TN and CAL slip to the #9 and #10 positions respectively.

Parting thought: Would a West Virginia vs Clemson bowl game be a ratings grabber for informed football fans? I'd love to see them square up against one another in a BCS game, but, with the alignments that may not come to pass. Still at this stage Clemson as ACC winner vs West Virginia (at-large, runner up in Big East?) in the Orange Bowl sounds like a great match-up.
