Georgia 52, LSU 38 (final)

I'm stunned that number is at 2.5

I figured as well as LSU plays at home - that number would be at 6.5 (at least).
We did dodge a bullet since it's not a night game.

Hey Nutriarch - cajuns don't wake up and start drinkin' till 1:00 right? You guys won't be that fired up will ya? :yow2:

I'm shocked that we're favored in this game. We've done little/nothing to justify that at this point.

Huge bullet dodged by it being a day game.

Lots of people say it's just BS superstitions that LSU plays better at night.
But I have been to many games both day and night. The entire campus just "feels" different for night games. There is no comparisons between the two energy levels.

Stafford is one of my fantasy QB's and he has not been playing very well the past couple weeks. I was great to put some down on the Dawgs but when LSU comes out as a favorite it just makes me wonder.

I presume that if the W-L record doesn't actually prove LSU is a better team at night, that would be due to the quality of competition in the night games?

Don't know that I've ever caught a titanic 8:00PM clash between LSU and UL-Monroe on ESPN, FWIW ... :p

Actually, we've played better teams at night in the last 10 years (only slightly better, but better).

'97-'07 (20 games with 5pm or earlier start)
opponents records 133-109 (.550)
LSU record in these games 13-7 (.650)

'97-'07 (24 games 6pm or later start)
opponents record 171-120 (.588)
LSU record in these games 17-7 (.708)

Mark Richt's only road loss in the SEC is in Baton Rouge - it's the only place he's never won.
He's got an outstanding road record in the conference - I think only 5 road losses in 7 years.

Our coach is a pretty poker faced guy, but I think he wants this one bad.

I'm not sure which way to go on this one. Do the UGA suspensions make a difference here? My gut says LSU, but i can be swayed. Any takers...

For all gamblers curious - one of the individuals was already out for the year with an injury - the second has played only 7 series all season.
Not the biggest impact.

I've gone to LSU Florida in Red Stick every other year since the early 80s.

Nutria is right - the night games are by far a much more interesting and charged experience. Comparing the Miami and LSU games in the Swamp this year, the night game was more intense too.
