Florida State added another dangerous weapon to its already potent offense on Friday, as five-star athlete George Campbell verbally committed to the Seminoles. The 10th-ranked prospect in the ESPN 300 chose the Seminoles over in-state rival Florida and LSU.

The product East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Florida, said his relationship with the FSU coaching staff, specifically wide receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey, ultimately led to his decision.

"It's just a good situation," Campbell said. "When I did my research -- just the fact that I'd be able to get on the field early and the coaching staff is wonderful. I have a great relationship with Coach Dawsey. He's a great coach, but he's the type of dude that's not just going to tell you what you want to hear, but he'll tell you what you need to know."
