HD PVR Product overview

All you need is $249 and a fast dual-core computer with 256+ MB of video memory. This thing uses the analog output of your cable or satellite HD box, so it completely circumvents encryption.

It is $230 shipped from newegg, but Dell has it for $250 and they frequently have coupons that might make for a better deal. I would be in for one except a) there already is one known bug with the audio, and b) just bought a Philips 3676 HDD DVD player and can't legitimate spending more money to record OSU football. Yet. What is truly unfortunate is that we are way behind Europe in terms this tech due to copywrite fears. Anyway, would love to hear about one's experience with this.
